Dr. Asma Khan Conducts Yet Another Total Abdominal Hysterectomy with Bilateral Salpingo-Oophorectomy Procedure @ Care Plus Hospital A 55 year old woman from Malakand, a busling city if Malakand distric, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa came in Care Plus Medical Center Islamabad for her emergency checkup due to severe pelvic pain. Preliminary inspection was done by Head of department of Care Plus’s Gynecology Department Prof. Dr. Nasira Tesneem; After initial checkup paitient was admitted for treatment of her severe pelvic pain, and massive swelling of lower Abdomin. Prof. Dr. Nasira Tesneem upon futher investigation, more severe complaints and symtoms were comming up like prolonged periods with excessive Bleeding, Abdominal discomfort and/or fullness, Pelvic pain, Lower back pain, Bladder symptoms, such as frequent urination or difficulty emptying the bladder, along with Bowel symptoms, such as constipation or excessive straining with bowel movements. Ultrasound was done during the initial investigation with report pointed towards massive swelling and mass present in the pelvic portion of Paitient. All compliants and symtoms were pointing out issue with paitient’s uterus and cervix. Due to busy schedule of Prof. Dr. Nasira Tasneem, she called up for one of her best departmental surgeon Dr. Asma Khan; for emergency Diagnostic laparoscopic Procedure (DLP) for checkup of uterus and cervix health. Upon reviewing the findings of her seniour colleague; Dr. Asma Khan quickly showed intent in conducting emergency DLP of the patient. Without delay, Prof. Dr. Nasira Tasneem appointed Dr. Asma Khan for the procedure. In emergency news was given to the paitient and her relatives; with their permission emergency Diagnostic Laparoscopic Procedure (DLP) was adopted along with Total Abdominal Hysterectomy with Bilateral Salpingo-Oophorectomy (TAH e BSO) Procedure if needed. Dr. Asma Khan upon getting consent for both operation procedures from kin, quickly got ready for operation. During DLP uterus and cervix was found with massive swelling with multiple fibroids present. Both Departmental Head Prof. Dr. Nasira Tasneem and next of kin were informed and showed them live over the visual monitor about the finding. With consent and permission of both Seniour colleague and paitients kin’s; Dr. Asma Khan continued with Total Abdominal Hysterectomy Procedure with Bilateral Salpingo-Oophorectomy. During the Procedure the uterus (hysterectomy), fallopian tubes (salpingo), and ovaries (oophorectomy) were removed of paitient through an abdominal incision. This procedure was performed for various reasons, including treating heavy periods, endometriosis, uterine fibroids, and certain types of cancer.  With grace of Allah the operation went successful and paitient life was saved. Post operation paitient was admitted in Care Plus ICU for the first 24 Hr for routine checkup, afterwards was joined with the relatives for first post operation meet. After thorough check up today of happy and content patient was discharged healthy from Care Plus Medical Hospital.
