A pregnant woman in her early twenties from Sialkot, Punjab a bustling city of northern Punjab came in Care Plus Medical Center Islamabad for her emergency checkup due to severe pain. Preliminary inspection was done by day incharge of Care Plus’s Gynecology Department Dr. Khadija Khan; After initial checkup paitient was admitted for treatment of her pain and swelled up feet.
upon futher investigation Dr. Khadija Khan found out that, due to paitient continous tro fro travel from Sialkot to Rawalpindi for her brother’s marriage; exhaustion creaped up and paitient moved into labor 18 days priour to her due date; patient and her spouse were initially planning childbirth by Spontaneous vaginal delivery (SVD).
Due to exertion; tired of the travel and labour pain; were as fetus’s health was also not reported to be stable and healthy. Dr. Khadija Khan saw that the mother and child health were in danger. Without delay, in emergency news was given to the husband of the patient and with their permission SVD was avoided and emergency C-Section procedure was adopted.
With grace of Allah the child was dilivered successfully by Dr. Khadija Khan, and mothers vitals improved after the Emergency C- Section procedure. Post delivery the child was admitted in NICU for the first 8 Hr for post operation recovery and for routine checkup, afterwards was joined with the stable mother for the child’s first feed.
After thorough check up today of mother and child, both were discharged happy and healthy from Care Plus Medical Hospital.
